Coastal Living 2015 Seagrove Idea Cottage

Located along dreamy Scenic 30A in Florida is the Coastal Living 2015 Seagrove Idea Cottage, a 1980s fixer-upper transformed by one of my favorite designers–Paige Sumblin Schnell of Tracery Interiors! She worked with her husband Mark Schnell of Schnell Urban Design and Peter Horn of Artisan, Inc. to completely update the beach cottage with a modern design filled with fun color! I was so inspired by all of the rooms. The gallery wall in the bedroom and the open shelving in the kitchen are just a couple of my favorite details! I especially love the office (painted Benjamin Moore's Covington Blue) that doubles as a guest room. Smart use of space right there! Waterleaf Interiors

I'm a longtime fan of the Manhattan Beach, California interior design firm Waterleaf Interiors, so I was super excited to see the breezy home of designer Jill Johnson in the recent issue of Coastal Living! (And not just because she used the same whale wallpaper I did in Wesley's room!) Her sunny SoCal home just blocks from the beach is laid-back and livable yet filled with impeccable detail! Love the lighting so much...the chandeliers are especially gorgeous! The breakfast nook might be my favorite spot in the entire home. Those colors are simply dreamy! Happy Halloween!

We never got around to decorating our front steps for the fall, aside from a few pumpkins that we carved last night! Not to say there was lack of inspiration in blogland....especially from Sara of Embrace My Space! I love her home all throughout the year (see her guest post here for a tour) but her fall decorations this year were spectacular! The turquoise and orange with her fuchsia door and gorgeous mums?! Builder Boy

Oh. My. Gosh.

Can you even believe this house?! The incredible home in Manhattan Beach received a complete facelift by the remodel experts at Builder Boy, a full service general contractor out of Long Beach, California. Their in-house interior design team, Michele Leach and Nathalie Aguirre, seriously knocked it out of the park...no detail was overlooked in the turquoise-filled paradise! So many things to love (other than the spot-on use of color!), especially how the home blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living. I can almost feel the ocean breeze! The kitchen is my absolute favorite area. The custom cabinets, turquoise glass pendants, sea-inspired backsplash, cute breakfast nook...it's all so completely perfect!
