Four Chairs Furniture | Millhaven Homes

You guys know I love absolutely anything designed by Lindy Allen of Four Chairs Furniture & Design...including this incredible American Fork, Utah home! It's so fabulous, I'm splitting the tour into two days starting with the stunning main floor. The home was built by Millhaven Homes, who along with Columbia Millworks, paid some serious attention to detail–especially with the tile, wood, cabinetry and finish carpentry!

I'm not kidding when I say the great room took my breath away! The striking sky-and-sea-inspired blues on the all-white backdrop open up the soaring space even more–and add to the bright and airy vibe of the home. The kitchen is such a dream too. Did you notice the two false cabinetry doors that enter to a pantry and the office/craft room?! So cool! I'm totally in love with that craft room by the way. The Great Meadow Mural is gorgeous! Overall I just adore Four Chairs Designs' trademark way of mixing styles, colors and textures for a fun, fresh look. Their pillow combos are always my favorite!

Come back tomorrow to check out the bedrooms, bathrooms, and a super-fun lower level! If you see something here you love, just visit Four Chairs Furniture (if you don't see it in their online store, just contact them for info.) Thanks to Jessie Alexis Photography for all of the great photos!

Martha O'Hara Interiors

There are so many talented interior designers here in the Minneapolis area, one of my favorites being Martha O'Hara Interiors! Oh her way with color! In this beautiful Minnesota home photographed by Troy Thies, happy nature-inspired hues pop on a neutral background and are the perfect complement to the gorgeous lake view. I just love the crisp white shiplap walls and ceiling! The blue island is fabulous too. I love how they used the same color (Benjamin Moore Province Blue) on the built-in cabinet by the fireplace. Such a fun mix of fabrics and patterns too! For more source info, go here! But before you go, you have to see this other fabulous turquoise-filled home by Martha O'Hara Interiors over here–the mudroom is to die for!

Refresh Restyle

I've been so inspired by all of the gorgeous holiday home tours being shared in blogland lately! One of my favorites has been from Debbie of Refresh Restyle, whose Bishop, Georgia home is all kinds of merry and bright! LOVE her use of turquoise so much. That tree is absolutely stunning, isn't it? Straight out of a magazine! I included other parts of her home too, just because I love it so much and am so impressed with her DIY skills. I mean that barn wood wall in her basement kitchen?! The mudroom area in the garage?! Totally stealing those ideas! Love the aqua blue paint color on the back of the bookcases and in the dining room  too (both are Sherwin-Williams Quietude). Head over to her blog for tons more creative ideas and inspiration, and to see more of her beautiful home!

2016 Pantone Color of the Year: Serenity and Rose Quartz

Like so many people, I get super excited when Pantone announces their color of the year! They really threw me for a loop for 2016....they chose a blend of two colors: Serenity and Rose Quartz!
Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.
For the last several years I've been sharing pics of the chosen color paired with turquoise. This year was a lot harder, but I tried to come home with some examples! These pretty pastel hues definitely pair beautifully with aqua!

So what do you guys think of the color(s) of the year?? Personally I'm just glad we'll soon be saying goodbye to Marsala! ;)
