One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to go through my statistics and figure out what were the most popular posts of the year. It's always fun to see if any of my personal favorites made this list! (This year they did!) Armijo Design Group

This beautiful Colorado home designed by Beth Armijo of Denver-based Armijo Design Group has such a fresh take on traditional style, I love it! The splashes of spring-like color brighten things up and instantly make you feel happy! (Those of us covered in snow right now can appreciate that!) The breakfast area is my favorite. Its banquette seating and central location make it a beautiful, functional place to eat, do homework, crafts or play games! I'm really loving that turquoise floral fabric used on the drapes too. HGTV Dream Home 2016

Every year I anxiously await the HGTV Dream Home, and with this year being their 20th anniversary, they certainly didn't disappoint! The amazing Merritt Island, Florida waterfront home was designed by interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn (with furnishings from Ethan Allen) who went with a Hamptons approach to the design, sticking with blue-grays in the main rooms and brighter colors in the private areas. Unlike other years, this Dream Home was a remodel, and thanks to licensed contractor Josh Temple, major architectural changes took place that maximized the incredible view and emphasized indoor/outdoor living. But back to those private areas. I am in LOVE with the bedrooms and bathrooms, not to mention the vibrant turquoise media room! Yup, definitely a dream home! Starting January 1st, tune in to watch the transformation unfold on HGTV. And beginning today, you can enter daily for a chance to win the home! Just promise me if you win, I can come visit. Big party if I happen to win!
